Post-sales deployment of the expressor data integration platform

As a means to help new customers successfully implement expressor data integration solutions, an accelerated customer onboarding program, expresslane, has been devised. The expresslane program encompasses a terse 1 or 2 week consulting engagement designed to complement the start of the first expressor-based project.

  • Week 1 is typically scheduled immediately following customer training

    • Agenda / SOW is predefined and the same for all customers:
      • expressor install and configuration for development, test and production
      • Set-up expressor Repository with users, roles and projects
      • Assistance in defining and creating Semantic Types
      • Assistance with source and target schema definitions and engine runtime configuration
      • Assistance with high-level design of the application 
      • Prototyping and initial application development 
    • Cost is fixed at $7,000 + T&E for the week
  • Week 2 is optional

    • SOW will be customized for each customer – typically includes:
      • Continuation of week 1 activities
      • Application development
      • Application testing and deployment
      • Promotion of applications between development, test, and production
      • Operational metadata reporting
    • Delivery of services can take place at customer site or remotely
    • Cost is fixed at $7,000 + T&E

Prior to start of engagement, customer must agree to having the following ready:

  • Application logic requirements documented
    • expressor software can assist with this effort as well
      • Hardware environment
      • Users/developers/business analysts/administrators
    • Developers should be devoted full time to the project during the engagement

Outside the scope of this 80 hours should be an ongoing engagement which is staffed or overseen by an expressor SI partner. 

  • expressor field engineering will conduct periodic status calls to monitor the health of the project
  • Action items from the call will be documented and agreed upon between the customer and expressor.  Examples include:
    • Conduct online meeting session with customer to demonstrate how to do something
      • One online meeting session – code review (no charge)
      • Three online meeting sessions – design, develop, code review
    • Provide access to documentation or video that provides solution needed by customer
  • If the scope of customer’s issues requires involvement of professional services, field engineering will work with the customer to define the scope and involve qualified resource(s) from either SI or expressor.   Examples include
    • 3 days – design, develop, and test 1 or 2 drawings
    • 10 days -  design, develop and test a small application up to 4 drawings
