for Netezza

Also at Enzee Universe, expressor’s senior director of product management Michael Ruland made a featured presentation on expressor’s “intelligent load & go” solution for Netezza. “intelligent load & go” combines the affordable expressor semantic data integration system with Netezza’s high-performance data warehouse appliance to remove the cost barrier to high-performance ETL and ELT.  Click on the link below to view/download his slides and the “intelligent load & go” whitepaper authored by David Shuttleworth of Edge Associates.

expressor is getting ready for expressor 3.0 pre-release 2

We are getting ready for our next expressor 3.0 pre-release in mid-July. This release will include a number of new enhancements, including:

  • completion of the new connectivity model for relational data sources, which will greatly simplify and make the creation of images and networks much more intuitive
  • initial steps towards migrating our documentation to an online HTML format, including support for context-sensitive help
  • improvements to our new software installer aimed at making the download and installation process an easy, one-step process
  • further improvements to our generic ODBC motor aimed at supporting a wider variety of ODBC-compliant data sources
  • new user interface design and feature enhancements that will become part of our new, .Net based expressor Studio UI in expressor 3.0

Pre-release 2 will be made available to several existing customers and partners. expressor product management will also enlist new users to participate in our pre-release program. The next pre-release later this summer, pre-release 3 / beta 1, is slated for the end of August / early September and will become the first of two public pre-releases prior to the GA of 3.0 at the end December.

expressor 3.0 will include a brand new semantic Studio featuring many usability and smart semantics feature improvements targeted at making expressor the easiest-to-use data integration product on the market.
