2009 review and 2010 outlook
As 2009 draws to a close, we'd like to share some of the year's highlights with you and look ahead to 2010.
This was a year of building out our product, honing our message and gaining momentum with customers, partners and industry watchers. The year started on a high note as Gartner named expressor a Cool Vendor at the end of Q1. By Q2 we had shipped version 2.0 of the expressor semantic data integration system, adding new reporting and bulk-loading tools, comprehensive productivity and usability improvements, and additional connectivity and platform support. In Q3, we introduced the expressor eval edition, a hosted version of our product that enables users to design, test and run expressor applications free for 30 days. |

|
|
In Q4, we made our first public customer announcements, highlighting transactions with American Tower, Silverlink and Sybron Dental Specialties. And throughout the year, we produced a large number of webinars, white papers and videos on a wide variety of technical and business topics.
You can catch up on all these developments in this newsletter. We hope you find it helpful.
Happy New Year from all of us at expressor software. Thanks for your continued interest and support. |

recognition
expressor was included in the 2009 “Cool Vendors in Data Management and Integration” report by Gartner, Inc., which highlights four vendors with innovative approaches and technologies for improving the scalability of databases and data warehouses, introducing new optimization techniques, integrating data for delivery to software as a service (SaaS)-based applications and ensuring the integrity of data cross applications and data structures.
expressor was also included in Gartner's 2009 Magic Quadrant for integration tools.
Shortly after our announcement of expressor 2.0, Philip Howard of Bloor Research published an in-depth report that concluded, "Anyone needing to process high volumes of data and/or needing to support complex processes should immediately put expressor on their short list of data integration products to consider."
We also received prominent coverage throughout 2009 from many of the leading publications pundits and bloggers who cover our space.
Looking ahead– expect more exciting news from expressor!

new products and updates
Our CEO Bob Potter described expressor 2.0 as “fulfilling our initial vision of the next-generation data integration system: a smarter, faster and more affordable DI solution based on semantic metadata rationalization, high-performance parallel data processing and usage-based pricing.” The enhancements in version 2.0 were based on extensive user and partner feedback, rigorous proof-of-concept performance and capability benchmarks, as well as a wide variety of use cases.
Users are enjoying their experience with our new eval edition – the free, hosted version of our product that lets users “take expressor for a 30-day test drive.” Gauri Ghare, Data Warehouse Administrator at the Jacobi Medical Center, “said she was impressed by expressor's “simple but elegant toolset,” and that its “visual tools make source and destination data mapping easier to design and execute.”
Looking ahead– due in the second half of 2010, expressor version 3.0 will feature game-changing usability enhancements.
