Bob Potter

Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer
Bob Potter is responsible for expressor software’s business strategy and operating results. He has spent 29 years in the enterprise software industry serving in senior leadership roles at organizations ranging from venture-backed startups to large public companies. Formerly, as CEO of Kalido, Bob established Kalido as the dominant player in adaptive data warehousing and master data management, growing it from $5M to $20M in less than three years. As EVP of Field Operations of enterprise integration company IONA, he led IONA’s growth to more than $180M in sales and a $2B market cap over a multi-year period.

Earlier in his career, as SVP of Sales and Services at Object Design, he played a pivotal role in taking the company public in 1996. Bob also held senior management positions at ICAD and EDS Unigraphics. In addition to his role as CEO of expressor software, he also serves on the boards for Tailwind Strategies, Hamilton Thorne Biosciences, Thorne Diagnostics, and Active Endpoints. He holds a BS degree in Marketing from Providence College and an MBA from the University of Rhode Island.

Michael Waclawiczek, Ph.D.

Vice President of Marketing
As Vice President of Marketing, Michael Waclawiczek oversees expressor's marketing and product management operations. He is also founder and associate of JumpStart Associates™, a management advisory and consulting company he founded in 2002. Michael is well respected in the software industry for bringing enterprise software products to market by successfully directing company product and marketing efforts to achieve market leadership positions.

Over 24 years, he has launched more than 20 major software products generating over $1B in total license revenue. During his career, Michael has held several executive and senior management positions at private and public companies including StreamBase Systems, Kalido, IONA Technologies, Riverton Software, Object Design, ICAD, and EDS Unigraphics. Prior to his corporate experience, Michael was Assistant Professor at the Technical University of Vienna, Austria, where he also received his Master's and Doctorate degrees in Mechanical Engineering.

Steve Frechette

Steve Frechette leads all product development efforts for expressor. Within his first nine months, he established the company’s engineering organization and processes and led expressor’s effort to develop and deliver the first release of the expressor semantic data integration system. Frechette has led all subsequent releases of the expressor product and plays a lead role in the product requirements process. With more than 19 years of engineering management, technical architecture, and software development experience, Frechette has a strong track record in engineering operations, product development from inception to deployment, engineering organization, and leadership.

Prior to joining expressor software, Steve was a senior engineering manager at startup Blue Agave Software, maker of a BI platform and applications for supply chain exception management, which was acquired by i2 Technologies in 2007. Steve held a similar management role at Oberon Software where he led the development of a complete EAI platform, subsequently acquired by Vignette. Early in his career, Steve was a senior software engineer at Lotus Software. He has a BS in Computer Science from Northeastern University in Boston, MA.

Melinda Smith

Melinda Smith is responsible for leading expressor’s financial and administrative operations including financial reporting and control, investor relations, human resources and legal affairs.  Melinda has spent 19 years in financial management and administration which have contributed significantly to the growth of public and private companies.

Previously she served as director of finance at Aspen Technology (Nasdaq: AZPN), the leading provider of software and services to the processing industries.  Melinda held several positions at AspenTech, most recently directing the company’s financial and billing operations and was responsible for the Sarbanes-Oxley program.

Prior to AspenTech, she was chief financial officer at edocs, a leading provider of self- service, online billing and payment solutions.  edocs was named the fastest growing software company in New England with five-year revenue growth of 977% and was sold to Siebel Systems, now part of Oracle, in 2005.  Earlier in her career, she was VP of Finance at Gradient Technologies and earned her CPA while in public accounting at Price Waterhouse. Ms. Smith holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Michigan.

Dave Mohr

Dave Mohr is an experienced sales leader with deep knowledge of the Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing software industry. Dave is responsible for leading and growing expressor’s Sales organization on a worldwide basis across both direct and indirect channels. In this capacity Dave is responsible for new customer acquisition and achieving company revenue goals by servicing the end-user, ISV, and SI market segments for expressor solutions.

During the past 15 years, Dave has held senior sales leadership roles as well as individual contributor roles in the early stages of enterprise software companies including Brio Software, Cognos Corporation, Business Objects, and Pentaho Corporation. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the Rochester Institute of Technology.

Bill Kehoe

Bill was a key developer on the original 1.0 expressor product and now provides technical leadership on the core processor team. Previously he was an architect for Blue Agave where he was the lead developer for the data sub-system of the supply chain exception tracking applications. Bill was also a senior architect at Versata and senior developer and program manager at Sybase. At the latter company he architected and led the development for SQL Debug, a client server application for debugging SYBASE Transact-SQL database access procedures.

Bill has been involved in relational database query processing and query optimization since 1987. He was the architect and developer of an Oracle query optimization product that was sold to BMC in 2000. Bill graduated Magna Cum Laude from Tufts University in Civil Engineering and is a member of the Tau Beta Pi Engineering honor society. He has also done post graduate work at Harvard University.

Dave Fachetti

Managing Director, Globespan Capital Partners
As a Managing Director of Globespan, Dave Fachetti sources new investment opportunities, evaluates and negotiates investments, and serves on the boards of portfolio companies. Based in Boston, he focuses on investments in software and Internet/infrastructure companies. He also leads Globespan's CIO Advisory Board, which he helped to establish. Prior to Globespan, Dave was a Principal of JAFCO Ventures, where he focused on enterprise software opportunities. In his most recent operating positions, Dave held leadership roles at then startup Family Education Network (FEN), first as Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing and then as Senior Vice President and General Manager of FEN's distributed content management software business. Instrumental in FEN's rapid growth, he helped to establish the company's industry-leading position, with more than 4 million monthly visitors and a national network of more than 10,000 schools.

Earlier in his career, Dave served as a Vice President and GM at Trans National Group (TNG), where he successfully ran and sold TNG's start-up Canadian credit card business to Bank of Montreal. During his tenure at TNG, Dave was a member of the founding team that developed businesses in the US, the UK, France, and Germany. Dave earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with honors from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and an MBA with honors from Boston University. He is also a CPA.

John Mandile

Managing Director, Sigma Partners
John Mandile joined Sigma in 1996. With more than 20 years of experience as an entrepreneur, a business unit manager, and an investor, John uses motivation, enthusiasm, and his own technology and operational expertise to support Sigma's portfolio companies. Throughout his career, he has held executive management positions, created new business units and departments, and sponsored new projects at some of the industry's most successful technology companies.

Prior to Sigma, John was the President & CEO of Vermeer Technologies, Inc., the developers of the FrontPage web authoring tool. Microsoft’s acquisition of Vermeer provided Sigma and the other venture investors a very successful return. Previously, he was an early principal at SQL Solutions, where he created and led an engineering organization chartered to build heterogeneous database tools. Following an acquisition of SQL Solutions by Sybase, he took responsibility for the new Systems Management Product unit, which he grew to $55M in sales in 30 months. Early in his career, John was recruited to Honeywell, where he worked on a variety of engineering projects in the areas of communications, operating systems, and UNIX co-processor design. John is a graduate of Tufts (BSE in Engineering Science and Mathematics) and Worcester Polytechnic University (MS in Computer Science).

Justin Perreault

Justin J. Perreault has more than 15 years of venture capital and operating experience in information technology industries. He has particular interest in and experience with enterprise application, infrastructure software, and software as a service business models. Prior to joining Commonwealth, Justin was COO and later CEO of Object Design, a publicly held software company. He was part of the senior team that helped to grow the company’s revenue from $20 million to $70 million, take the company public on NASDAQ, and become the leading company in its market segment.

Earlier, Justin was a vice president at Harvard Management Company, responsible for information technology venture investments, and a consultant with McKinsey & Co., Inc. Justin received a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.

Richard W. Swanborg, Jr.

President and founder of ICEX
Richard has more than 30 years of business experience as a manager, consultant, researcher, professor, and entrepreneur. His primary research interests include knowledge management, business and IT strategies, and innovative IT management practices.

Prior to founding ICEX, Richard was a Principal with the Ernst & Young Center for Information Technology & Strategy, the Director of Planning and Operations at Index Technology, a Management Consultant at Index Group, and Director of MIS at Helix Technology. He has written articles and frequently lectured to industry audiences on a range of business and IT topics. He teaches business strategy and information technology at Boston University's School of Management and is a guest lecturer at Babson's Executive Education Center. Richard formerly co-chaired the Enterprise Value Awards process for CIO magazine and currently serves on their Editorial Board and as a judge for the CIO 100 Awards. He is a graduate of Knox College with a degree in mathematics and computer science.

Dr Paul Barth

Paul co-founded NewVantage Partners in 2001. He is a recognized thought-leader and practitioner in leveraging information as a strategic asset and in emerging approaches and best practices in data management.

Paul was founder and CTO of Tessera Enterprise Systems, a nationally-known systems integration firm formed in 1995. He became CTO of iXL Enterprises, a leading international Internet integration firm, following the merger of Tessera/iXL in December 1999. He was formerly vice president of technology at Epsilon Data Management (an American Express company), and held senior technology positions at Thinking Machines and Schlumberger. Paul holds a PhD in computer science from MIT, and a MS from Yale University.

Steven Mitzenmacher

Steven Mitzenmacher is Vice President, Corporate Development at NetApp.
Steven has over 12 years experience managing corporate development for leading technology companies, including Business Objects (acquired by SAP), Informatica (NASDAQ: INFA), Serena Software (a SilverLake Partners portfolio company) and Yahoo! (NASDAQ: YHOO). In these roles, he has led the identification, negotiation, and integration of numerous mergers and acquisitions, as well as several divestitures. In his last project at Yahoo, he orchestrated the spinout of Yahoo’s Hadoop engineering team into Hortonworks, a new company funded by Benchmark Capital. Steven also has extensive experience managing corporate strategic planning, partner and alliance relationships, corporate venture investments, and strategic initiatives such as Business Objects’ market entry into China.

Steven began his career as a consultant with Arthur Andersen after completing an MBA and MS, Information Management from Arizona State University and a BA from Stanford University.

Gregory S. Workman

Gregory has more than 25 years of experience transforming information-intensive businesses by leveraging data as an asset to achieve unprecedented growth, operational excellence, and innovation. He is currently the President of TWIG International LLC, a management-consulting firm with a proprietary approach to information risk management that is unique in the industry. He advises and executes business transformations with CIOs and other decision makers across many industries, in both large and small, and mature and immature businesses.

Gregory's experience includes stints with leading-edge firms in the financial, insurance, and healthcare industries, where he has been instrumental in the companies' development and growth. He has held executive positions in Information Technology Strategy and Management, Architecture, and Risk Management at WebMD, Emdeon, Medco Health Solutions, Merck, Dun & Bradstreet, ADP, and BOC.  Gregory holds a B.A. in Economics with a minor in Literature from Cornell University. He also has studied Business, Information Management, and Artificial Intelligence at the graduate level at Cornell and New York University.
