IDT

Integrated DNA Technologies sells short strands of DNA called oligonucleotide and is the largest manufacturer of custom oligo products in the US today. IDT became the industry leader in this competitive field by maintaining the highest standards of quality, service, and technical know-how. To support the complexity of IDT’s mission, the company is now using expressor software to rapidly parse and load DNA sequences into SQL Server.

LABVANTAGE

LABVANTAGE Solutions, Inc., is an innovative provider of enterprise laboratory informatics software; their product portfolio is comprised of both the SAPPHIRE and SQL*LIMS product suites and includes Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and Electronic Laboratory Notebook (ELN) capabilities. LABVANTAGE’s larger customers have many instances of SQL*LIMS and would like to consolidate them into a single instance. Traditionally there has been no viable or elegant solution to this challenge as it would require large amounts of hand coding. In addition, LabVantage customers also want to upgrade to newer product releases from their current versions, which again typically requires lots of hand coding and manual effort, which can leave a customer down during the upgrade process. To address these challenges, LABVANTAGE has chosen to use expressor to automate SQL*LIMS instance consolidations and automate SQL*LIMS upgrades to SAPPHIRE. These approaches will save weeks, if not months, of effort and will allow customers to remain productive with minimal downtime.

Moffitt Cancer Center

H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute has made a lasting commitment to the prevention and cure of cancer, working tirelessly in the areas of patient care, research and education. In order to support major advances in biomedical research, Moffitt is building a solution to help introduce commonality and transparency to important research data, and they are leveraging expressor’s unique semantic framework capabilities to help simplify the accessing and sharing of this key research data. They are also using expressor’s built-in transformation capabilities to help quickly read, cleanse, and load large quantities of source data into their target systems.

Mount Sinai School of Medicine

The Mount Sinai Hospital, founded in 1852, is a 1,171-bed tertiary- and quaternary-care teaching facility and one of the nation's oldest, largest and most-respected voluntary hospitals. In 2011, US News & World Report ranked The Mount Sinai Hospital 16th on its elite Honor Roll of the nation's top hospitals based on reputation, safety, and other patient-care factors. Of the top 20 hospitals in the United States, Mount Sinai is one of 12 integrated academic medical centers whose medical school ranks among the top 20 in NIH funding and US News & World Report and whose hospital is on the US News & World Report Honor Roll. Nearly 60,000 people were treated at Mount Sinai as inpatients last year, and approximately 560,000 outpatient visits took place.

SKECHERS USA

SKECHERS USA, Inc., an award-winning global leader in the lifestyle footwear industry—designs, develops, and markets lifestyle footwear that appeals to trend-savvy men, women, and children. Skechers’ legacy ETL solution had little flexibility and offered very poor performance, so the company recently purchased Teradata, Microstrategy and expressor software to overhaul their old system, which was unable to keep up with business demands. Now, in order to get their new systems into production, about 4TB of operational data must be loaded into a new data model within Teradata. Over time, Skechers wants to leverage expressor to update the Teradata warehouse with data from the operational system in a near real-time capacity.

Viverae

Viverae helps employers and their employees control health care costs by identifying, addressing, and reducing health risks before they turn into significant medical expenses. Before adopting expressor, each of Viverae’s customers represented both a separate data feed and a one-off development effort with little or no re-use of existing solutions. So, as Viverae acquired new customers, their ability to promptly process the new data feeds became a bottleneck. By adopting expressor to create a customer processing hub, which handles the majority of new or existing customer data feeds, Viverae improved their development productivity and used expressor’s role-based development model to allow multiple people in different roles to work concurrently and create an effective solution far faster than with traditional ETL solutions.

The Group offers commercial insurance products on a surplus lines and specialty admitted basis with a commitment to a distribution network of appointed wholesale brokers and program managers on a nationwide basis.
